HAND SANITIZER- If possible purchase before Passover. Can purchase on Passover 2020 due to sakana (Star-K)
From the cRc: Do alcohol-based hand sanitizers require Pesach certification? Alcohol-based hand sanitizers such as Purell, typically contain at least 62% ethyl alcohol, which may possibly be chametz. However, Rav Schwartz ZT”L checked a sample of hand sanitizer and said that it is as inedible as other liquid soaps and may therefore be used on Pesach regardless of the source of alcohol.
May I use hand sanitizer on Shabbos and Yom To? Rav Schwartz ZT”L said that using a hand sanitizer such as Purell on Shabbos and Yom Tov is no different than using liquid soap; Iggeros Moshe (OC 1:113) holds that this is not permissible, but many Poskim are of the opinion that it is permitted. Rav Schwartz ZT”L accepts this latter approach. (cRc)

MILK & MILK SUBSTITUTES

• cRc policy on Lactose reduction products: Therefore, the cRc policy is that one may use milk containing lactase if the lactase was added by the company before Pesach, and one may use non-chewable lactase pills on Pesach. However, one may not add lactase-drops to milk on Pesach, and one may not use chewable lactase pills (even if the person swallows them). <2022)
• Lactaid capsules: - Caplets may contain chometz and may not be used on Pesach .
• Lactaid Milk may be used on Pesach if purchased BEFORE Pesach. This product is not Cholov Yisroel.
• In areas where Kosher for Passover milk is not available, milk should be purchased BEFORE Passover. (Star-K)
• Nonfat Dried Milk without additives before Pesach: (Kosherquest.org) (2020) Due to all the concerns noted above, very few companies are willing to go to the lengths required to produce a milk substitute which is certified as kosher for Pesach. This year, there is almond milk and coconut milk available with hashgachah for Pesach, and those are surely a first choice. Another alternative is to search the internet where one can find myriad simple recipes and instructions for producing milk-substitutes at home. Individuals can, thereby, create their own milk substitutes using kosher for Pesach ingredients.
• Milk Alternatives: The following products contain kitniyos and are acceptable for the infirm who need milk alternatives. They are acceptable only in shelf-stable containers. (OU 2024)

Meat: raw fresh or frozen (not ground) Acceptable without Passover Certification if in original packaging. If not certified for Passover, meat should be rinsed before use. (cRc 2023)
From the Star-K: All packaged raw meat products should be used with reliable certifying agency Passover approval. If Passover-approved raw meat is not available, or the meat was already purchased without Passover approval, then it should be washed, ideally before Pesach . This should not be done over a Pesach sink. (However, all ground meat products require KFP certification and may not be used on Pesach without KFP certification, even if washed).

Nuts:

If no additives are listed, raw nuts may be acceptable when bearing an OU symbol. Pecans that are whole or half are acceptable with an OU certification, midgets and pecan pieces require Passover certification (OU 2024)
• cRc: hole, slivered, or chopped nuts are acceptable without Passover Certification whether in or out of the shell and even if they are "steam pasteurized", except if they are (a) blanched or roasted (all varieties), (b) finely ground into a powder, such as almond flour, (c) contain BHT or BHA, (d) shelled pecans (all varieties), or (e) peanuts (which are kitnios). . 2024)
• Pine Nuts Acceptable without Passover Certification if free of BHT/BHA cRc (2024)
• Star-K: Nuts: Raw, whether they are slivered, whole or chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, pine nuts, walnuts, etc.) without preservatives or other additives, such as BHT or BHA in corn oil, are approved for Passover. If label states that it is processed in a plant that processes kitniyos or chometz, then it requires a reliable KFP certification.
  The following processed nuts require KFP certification: Dry roasted, toasted, blanched, and ground.
  Whole and half pecans are similar to any raw nuts mentioned above; however, pecan pieces and midget pecans must bear a KFP symbol.

However, because there is a possibility that quinoa grows in proximity to chometz grains and may be processed in facilities that compromise its Kosher for Passover status, quinoa should be accepted only with a reliable Kosher for Passover approval. • Salt: Acceptable for Passover if it is free of iodine and other sensitive additives. Calcium silicate is an acceptable additive to non-iodized salt. (cRc 2023)

Seltzer and Water:

• All unflavored bottled water, seltzer and sparkling water without any additives is Kosher for Passover, even without any Kosher supervision. (OU) (2024)
• SELTZER: Any unflavored seltzer that does not list any citrates as an ingredient may be used. All flavored seltzer requires KFP certification (Star-K) (2024)
